Ram has given this truck a number of different options. There are Crew Cabs and Quad Cabs with two rows of seats. The main difference between them is that the Crew Cab has more legroom in the second row of seats. The Ram 1500 also comes with either rear-wheel or four-wheel drive, as well as 5’7” and 6’4” payload boxes. Finally, most models are equipped with a 5.7-liter HEMI V8 gas engine with an eight-speed transmission. Called the “Eagle,” this monster engine will give you 395 horsepower and 410 lb-ft of torque. Tradesman

Like its name suggests, the Tradesman is designed for use primarily by drivers who are looking for a capable pickup truck for their work. This is why it has the lowest base price, as well as the lowest frills. The Tradesman offers a choice of Crew Cab and Quad Cab, each with a front bench seat so you can fit up to six passengers inside your cab. The seats have vinyl upholstery to make cleaning easy. It also features the 5.7-liter HEMI V8. Unfortunately, the EcoDiesel is not available on the Tradesman model.

Like all 2023 Ram 1500 trucks, the Tradesman features the Uconnect 3 infotainment system. This has a five-inch display screen and will allow you to connect your smartphone via Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto, so you can make hands-free calls while on the road. There is also a six-speaker stereo system. The only standard advanced safety feature is a ParkView camera that allows you to see behind your Ram 1500 Tradesman on the Uconnect 3 screen when driving in reverse.

Tradesman HFE

Also known simply as the HFE, the Tradesman HFE model of the 2023 Ram 1500 sports a specialized engine. This is a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 with a mild hybrid system called the eTorque. It comes paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission to provide improved fuel economy. This is an ideal model for someone who is looking to use their Ram 1500 for primarily commercial purposes, as the engine will help you reduce your fuel consumption costs. The Tradesman HFE is rear-wheel drive standard, with a Quad Cab and a 6’4” payload box. Unlike the Tradesman, it can seat only five passengers as the front bench seat has been replaced with a pair of bucket seats for the driver and front passenger. The vinyl seats have also been replaced with ones that feature cloth upholstery.

Big Horn

Also known as the Lone Star for Texas drivers, the Big Horn is designed for folks who are looking to use their Ram 1500 trucks for both work and family purposes. You get to choose between Quad and Crew Cabs, as well as the two different payload boxes and drivetrains. While the Big Horn has the standard 5.7-liter HEMI engine, you can opt for an EcoDiesel powertrain instead on this model. The Big Horn seats up to five passengers. The cloth upholstery is quite comfortable, and the day-night rearview mirror will come in handy when driving at night as it will help reduce headlight glare.

Laramie

Just like the Big Horn, the Laramie model features the 5.7-liter HEMI engine with the EcoDiesel available as an option. This model is only available in the Crew Cab, which is why it makes an excellent family vehicle. It also offers a choice of drivetrain and payload box size. The 2023 Ram 1500 Laramie comes with the Uconnect 3 system on an 8.4-inch touchscreen. The Uconnect 5 NAV system is available as an option, with the addition of an onboard navigation system. There is also an active noise control system that works to reduce traffic sounds from outside of your truck.

Rebel

One of two 2023 Ram 1500 models designed for off-roading, the Rebel comes with a standard Crew Cab, 5’7” box, and a 5.7-liter HEMI V8 engine. It features an off-road suspension that will help keep you and your passengers comfortable while you are out hitting the trails. Ram has added a standard Selec-Speed Control as standard equipment on the 2023 Rebel model.

On the inside, the Rebel seats up to five passengers with a combination of cloth and vinyl seating material that has been manufactured to be stain resistant. Just like the Laramie, it features a Uconnect 3 system with an 8.4-inch touchscreen, with the larger and more advanced Uconnect 5 NAV available as an upgrade.

Limited Longhorn

Also known simply as the Longhorn, the Limited Longhorn is one of the more luxurious models in the 2023 Ram 1500 lineup. The front cloth seats are heated inside the standard Crew Cab, with optional leather upholstery and heated rear seats. These come in very handy on cold winter mornings. You get a payload box that measures 5’7” or 6’4” with an available multifunction tailgate. This is very useful for loading and unloading your truck.

The Limited Longhorn has a standard Uconnect 5 NAV system with an 8.4-inch touchscreen. This gives you satellite-guided turn-by-turn directions wherever you drive your Ram 1500. You can also stream audio from your smartphone. A ten-speaker Alpine Performance audio system with a 506-watt amplifier and a 12-inch Uconnect touchscreen are available as options on the Limited Longhorn.

Limited

The 2023 Ram 1500 Limited is practically unlimited when it comes to luxury features. This Crew Cab standard model features genuine wood and leather insert with chrome metal accents. The seats are plush and comfortable leather, with the front bucket seats heated and ventilated. The deluxe sound insulation will reduce outside noise considerably. The Uconnect 5 NAV system comes with an 8.4-inch touchscreen. There is also an available 12-inch touchscreen on the system, with a ten-speaker Alpine Performance audio system that will turn your truck into a mobile concert hall. The Limited model runs on a 5.7-liter HEMI engine with an available Ecodiesel that improves fuel economy. It also gives you the choice of rear-wheel and four-wheel drive, as well as the two cargo box sizes.

TRX

There is a new apex predator on the road, and it is the 2023 Ram 1500 TRX. This is the second of two off-road specialists in the Ram 1500 lineup. The TRX runs on an exclusive 6.2-liter HEMI Supercharged V8 nicknamed the Hellcat. This delivers an unprecedented 702 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque, making it one of the fastest trucks on the road. The Ram 1500 TRX can go from 0 to 60 miles per hour in just 3.7 seconds, with a top speed of 118 miles per hour.

But the 2023 Ram 1500 TRX is not just a road warrior. Limited Elite Edition

The newest special edition of the Ram 1500 is the Limited Elite Edition, and just like the (RAM) RED, this is built on the 2023 Ram 1500 Limited platform. It adds a jeweled rotary gear shifter, premium leather bucket seats, suede seat headliners, a bright pedal kit, a unique instrument cluster for the driver, and a standard multifunction gate.
