In fact, the biggest news for 2023 is that Jeep has stopped producing a version of the Renegade with front-wheel drive. From now on, all Renegade trims get Jeep’s advanced 4×4 systems, meaning that you will get exceptional traction regardless of the trim level you choose.

Trims
Four Trim Options
The 2023 Jeep Renegade comes in four different trims. Each has a 4c4 drivetrain and seating for up to five passengers. In fact, the Renegade has a surprising amount of room for a subcompact SUV. For example, front-row passengers will enjoy 41.2 inches of legroom, while those seated in the back won’t complain, with a spacious 35.1 inches to stretch out in. The Renegade also has an impressive amount of cargo space. The rear liftgate opens onto a trunk with 18.5 cu.ft. of space for your belongings. If you need more room, simply fold down the rear row of seats to free up a total of 50.8 cu.ft., plenty of room if you need to move a large number of items.
The entry-level trim for the 2023 Renegade is the Latitude. This replaces the Sport trim, which was discontinued. The Latitude rides on 17-inch aluminum wheels and features standard Keyless Enter ‘n Go and remote vehicle start. This will come in handy on cold winter mornings and hot summer afternoons. Simply remote start your Renegade, so it has the right climate for your trip.
The next trim up from the Latitude is the Altitude. This trim rides on a set of 18-inch gloss black aluminum wheels. Its exterior features gloss black accents that are carried over to its interior. The interior features black cloth seats, and the exterior mirrors are heated, so you can defrost them easily on a cold day.
Luxury Trims
The Renegade Limited is limited only by your imagination. This trim features 18-inch aluminum wheels and has a premium, leather-trimmed interior with heated front seats. There is even power lumbar adjustment to keep you comfortable, especially on long road trips. The Limited has Adaptive Cruise Control, which automatically adjusts your cruising speed if a slow-moving vehicle gets in front of you on the highway. Once the vehicle is out of your way, the system will return you to your desired speed. This will improve safety while reducing driver fatigue.
The top-of-the-line option for the 2023 Renegade is the Trailhawk. This trim gives you the features needed to take your Renegade on an off-road adventure. The Trailhawk features an available Selec-Terrain Traction Management System with Rock Mode. This allows you to climb your Renegade Trailhawk over boulders. The Trailhawk rides on a set of 17-inch aluminum wheels wrapped with On/Off-Road Tires. You can also opt for heated leather seats on your Trailhawk to keep your passengers comfortable on your off-road adventures.

Every 2023 Jeep Renegade comes equipped with a 1.3-liter I-4 gas engine. This powerplant features a turbocharger to boost performance and utilizes direct fuel injection to deliver 177 hp and 210 lb-ft of torque. It also features stop-start engine technology to improve fuel economy. Jeep pairs the I-4 gas engine on the 2023 Renegade with a segment-first nine-speed automatic transmission. This gearbox has a manual shift mode that allows you to emulate a manual transmission without the hassle of working a clutch and stick shift.
The 2023 Jeep Renegade provides exceptional fuel economy. This is why it can serve you well for your daily commute. It is rated for a very impressive 29 MPG on the highway while providing a solid 23 MPG in the city. As a result, the Renegade will get an estimated 26 MPG combined. Infotainment and Connectivity

The Uconnect 4C NAV system allows you to connect your smartphones using Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Bluetooth. The voice command feature will enable you to make calls and access text messages without taking your hands off the Jeep Renegade’s steering wheel. Uconnect 4C NAV lets you stream your favorite music and entertainment from AM/FM radio, smartphone apps, or SiriusXM. Driver-Assist Technology
Jeep has made safety a standard feature on the 2023 Renegade, and each trim features a host of advanced driver-assist equipment. Forward Collision Warning Plus will sound if the system detects that you are too close to the vehicle in front of your Renegade. It can also utilize the Active Braking feature to either bring your Renegade to a safe stop or reduce the damage if the accident is unavoidable.
One of the most common causes of highway collisions is when a driver becomes distracted, causing the vehicle to drift out of its lane. The Renegade features LaneSense Lane Departure Warning with Lane Keep Assist. If the system detects you are drifting out of your lane, it will sound a warning to get your attention while using a series of slight steering adjustments to get you safely back into your lane.
Blind Spot Monitoring works similarly. When you signal to change lanes, this system will monitor your blind spot to ensure the coast is clear before you shift over. If another vehicle is present, the system will let you know before you get into an accident. This system also provides Rear Cross Path Detection. Sometimes you can’t see vehicles approaching from behind your Renegade when you back out of a parking spot because they are outside your rearview camera’s picture. However, this system can detect them and will alert you to their presence so you can avoid a crash.
