The COVID shutdown in 2020 forced chip factories to shutdown abroad for a considerable amount of time in an already high-demand landscape. With the demand for microchips on the rise amongst the shutdown and through 2022, manufacturers are still in the process of catching up to where production should be. Most manufacturers are putting pre-ordered units before dealer stock production which means you can get exactly what you are looking for, save money in the process, and stop wasting hours searching for a vehicle that just isn’t available at any dealer currently.

It’s hard to say given the demand for microchips is still on the rise and production infrastructure still isn’t where it needs to be to catch up. We’re hoping to see improved supply by late 2022, and experts estimate that supply will normalize around late 2023.
